The 16th Annual Monkey Trap Open Recap

Well, it’s not a surprise that weather played a factor in another 2025 tournament. The morning started out with stormy weather bringing in lots of rain, lightning, and wind. We chose to delay start time by 45 minutes, which proved to be a good decision. Very light rain fell during the first round, and it slowly dwindled. The second round was warm and humid, but nothing like the scorcher on Friday!

The hot round of the day was a 44 (1049 rated) 2nd Round shot by Austin Gehrke. He was chasing down 1st only to fall short by 1. Great round and finish!

1st Place Open winner Brandon Cawthorne, held off the 2nd place surge averaging 1029 golf. Congratulations!

Philip Price hit an Ace in the second round. He was not in the Ace Pot, so the Roll Over Ace Pot is now at $785!
