Monkey Trap Open Players Meeting - Jul 14th, 2022

Patriot's Gold & Silver Presents: The 13th Annual Monkey Trap Open
Players’ Meeting

Welcome to the 13th Monkey Trap Open! As always, we’d like to start off by thanking our title sponsor: Patriot's Gold & Silver. We also appreciate and thank our tournament sponsors as well: Mosiac Pizza, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and Kick’N Sound Dj’s

Also, a big thank you to our tour sponsors: Elephant & Castle Fine Arms, Innova Champion Discs, Creator Designs, Fossa, Millenium Golf Discs, Discmania, Greazy Dyes, Patriots Gold & Silver, Intuitive Body Works & Massage, Discs Unlimited, Dynamic Discs, MVP Disc Sports, Swing Right Golf, & Missouri Common Ground Alliance.

Everyone needs to check in at the pavilion. Also, the PDGA is requiring a signed waiver stating we acknowledge the increased risk of COVID-19 by playing in this tournament. Since you all signed up online, you already signed this.

Speaking of COVID-19, please maintain social distancing at all times before, during, and after the tournament. During check-in, please form three lines, and keep at least 6 feet apart in those lines. Three people at a time will be allowed to check in. There will be water stations with canopies (special thanks and provided by both Dynamic Discs and Innova). Please do not open the lids. Although there will be plenty of water, please make sure you take care of yourself by making sure you do not rely solely on the water jugs. It will be a scorcher, so plan accordingly. After the tournament, 6 amateur players at a time will be allowed in the trailer to redeem their DGM vouchers. Please make note that all vouchers are void after the trailer rolls out of town. However, you may make arrangements with me for pick up before you leave.

Scores for the tournament should be kept on the PDGA website. Player course and hole assignments are already posted at https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/51806. The link to online scoring is https://pdga.com/score/. The access code is MTO. Please have one person only record the card scores to pdga.com. DGM staff will receive them at tournament central. When round one is finished, everyone is on their own for lunch. Round 2 should start at 2, but will be determined by the last card in. Player course and round assignments will once again be posted to the PDGA event page, and scores should be kept on pdga.com. Per PDGA rule, if anyone should require a paper scorecard, they can be made available by DGM staff.

Rules for the courses are listed below. Unbranded CTP is hole 2. Trilogy-only CTP is hole 18. MVP-only CTP is 13. If there is any question about any throws or lies, try to make a group decision. If no decision can be made, play a provisional. When possible, consult with the course TD to determine the correct answer.
